Frank Taussig, O.M.D., R.Ac Acupuncture
Frank studied at The International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After graduating in 1989 with a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine, he became licensed in the state of New Mexico and with the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists. He stayed in Santa Fe studying and practicing for several years, then returned to Nova Scotia and settled in Halifax, where he opened his practice and helped found the Nova Scotia Association of Acupuncturists.
About 25 years ago, he started studying Japanese Meridian Therapy with Koi Kuwahara. This is a very gentle form of acupuncture which works on balancing the chi, or energy which runs through our bodies. When our chi becomes blocked, which it often does from the stresses and strains of everyday life, pain and illness can effect the body, mind and spirit. Acupuncture treatments can restore and balance flow of chi, alleviating many problems and enabling us to feel our optimal best.
Frank's treatments are very gentle and relaxing. Sometimes for sensitive people or children, it is not necessary to use needles at all.
