Carrie (she/her) is a D.O.M.P (osteopathic manual practitioner) graduate of the Canadian College of Osteopathy, a registered massage therapist, and somatic movement educator with certifications in Pilates and Embodied Developmental Movement and Yoga™ (The School for Body-Mind Centering). Carrie's work experience and training spans over 30 years. Her treatments focus on wellness outcomes based on addressing root causes of pain and/or fatigue; helping her clients to rebuild resilience and vitality. Carrie has a trauma-informed approach. Her philosophy considers the person as a whole; functionally, emotionally, and energetically. Carrie works with clients of all ages and is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
Carrie's love for movement and wellness sprouted from a career in contemporary dance. She received a B.A. in Movement Studies and Performance from Naropa University and worked as a dancer in San Francisco for eight years. After having sustained several injuries, Carrie began her training in wellness and rehabilitation starting with her own, providing her with much insight into the healing process.
In addition to working with clients individually, Carrie teaches group somatic yoga workshops and embodied anatomy for the Atlantic Yoga Teacher Training. She is also a trained meditation instructor.
