Brenna Lord, D.O.M.P., R.M.T., Osteopathy
Brenna holds a diploma of Osteopathy from the CEO - College D'Etudes Osteopathique (CCO - Canadian College of Osteopathy) after completing their six year program in the Spring of 2022. She has also been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2010 with a degree from ICT Northumberland College of Massage and Hydrotherapy.
Informed through her own healing process from mechanical trauma, Brenna has always been interested in the physical, emotional, and spiritual form that is the human body.
In her treatments, she is always searching for the root cause of the presentations of our bodies, respecting the accumulations of mechanical and emotional injuries through time. She primarily works with the fascia and connective tissues of the body and their interrelationships. Her goals are to aid in postural alignment, help correct strain patterns within the tissues, and to work with her clients to release tensions from force impacts. She is comfortable working with a wide range of presenting symptoms arising from complex traumas as well as stressors from daily lifestyle activities.
Brenna is dedicated to educating her clients on their anatomy and will talk at length about it if you let her. She is very passionate about empowering her clients towards supporting their health through regular stretching and strengthening exercises as well as breathing and meditative techniques.
Brenna is in good standing with the NSAO (Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths), the OAO (Ontario Association of Osteopaths) and MTANS (Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia). She is also certified in Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C.
