Penny Ormsbee RHN - Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant

Penny graduated in 2004 from a two-year Natural Nutrition Program at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.  With over fifteen years of experience, an ongoing thirst for knowledge, and four years as an instructor of the Natural Nutrition Program, Penny is able to help you make dietary and lifestyle choices that will have profound and long lasting effects on the quality of your life.

Penny offers one-on-one nutritional counselling which includes testing for food and environmental sensitivities using the BioMeridian screening system.  Sensitivity testing, or Meridian Stress Assessment (MSA) is a non-invasive, safe and pain-free way of determining imbalances in the body.  MSA testing is not used to diagnose or treat disease as defined by conventional medicine, however many doctors recommend it.

Penny has also received her training and certification in The Management of Menopause Type® Program - a holistic model that has been helping women to balance their hormones for over 20 years.

Casting aside the "one size fits all" approach, Penny believes in helping women of all ages restore hormone balance the natural way - through building a solid foundation of healthier food and lifestyle choices, and then further supporting them with pharmaceutical grade herbal formulas.  She is a strong believer in individualized health care that will naturally and effectively optimize your health and well-being.

Menopause should be an easy, smooth transition in a woman's life. All three major hormones - estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone - need to be in balance in order for menopause to be a healthy transition, rather than a debilitating struggle.  It is also important to look at thyroid and adrenal function which are often out of balance during menopause.

Penny's special interest areas are in hypothyroidism, nutrient deficiencies, adrenal fatigue, digestive disorders, food sensitivities, and the safe balancing of hormones.  Penny is passionate about her work and is committed to helping her clients reach their optimum health.

In her spare time, Penny enjoys a good mystery, preparing wholesome food for her family, writing children's poetry, tending to her gardens, and spending time with her knitting club.
